partners.corvu.com
– the new look
The new look to this website was introduced at the Partner Forum, if you haven’t
seen it, please go to http://partners.corvu.com
(do not use the usual “www.”) CorVu will be updating this from time
to time to provide our partners a place to look for product and information updates
that will make your life easier.
This site is designed to be public, but also to ensure that only contracted CorVu Partners have access to downloads. Some of the links will require your username and password. The username and password was assigned to you when you became a partner and is the same one you can use for the Tech Support Website. Both Tech Support and Cathey have a record of this information if you have misplaced yours.
The “Resources” page is meant to be a download spot for everyone. Recently, the update to the CorBusiness Product (4.20.198), the Victory Sports Demo and some other marketing tools were added to the site. Be sure to browse the site once in a while to see what is new. Anything major will be sent out via email to everyone.
CorVu is always looking for more ideas from our partners as to what other pieces of information should appear on this site. Be sure to send any suggestions to cathey.fullerton@corvu.com.
What is CorStrategy?
For those that were unable to attend the Partner Forum, CorVu introduced the new
Enterprise Performance Management suite called CorStrategy. Our
CorManage product (CorBusiness, Forecasting and Balanced Scorecard) is being repositioned
and branded as CorStrategy. There are three new products that make up that performance
suite: CorStrategy.Scorecard provides the latest innovation in
scorecard automation, enabling you to develop intelligence about your organization's
historical performance while gaining insight into future opportunities; CorStrategy.Finance
is designed to allow companies to strategically align budgets and manage the finance
process as it relates to business strategy. CorStrategy.Risk
provides a strategic view of risk management, while facilitating risk methodology
deployment throughout all levels of the organization.
Scorecarding
will change. . .
Those who attended the Partner Forum received some training on the CorStrategy.Scorecard
product. It can be sold as a stand-alone product or for use with CorBusiness.
As CorVu announced several months ago, the U.S. Army is influencing the quick
development of this product. The RapidScorecard product, which became available
with the introduction of CorVu 4.2 is being redefined and has been renamed to
CorStrategy.Scorecard. The Balanced Scorecard product, as we now know it (CorManage)
is being phased out. CorVu Development has frozen the product, however, we will
continue to support those customers who are using CorManage. Once the CorStrategy.Scorecard
is released, you may want to contact CorVu about suggested ways to migrate from
Balanced Scorecard to CorStrategy. No further enhancements or product fixes will
be made to the Balanced Scorecard module. A production release of CorStrategy.Scorecard
is currently being tested and is estimated to become available for beta testing
and release by the end of April 2003.
Forecasting
Revisited . . .
The Forecasting module was also part of the CorManage product line. This module
is currently under re-design and will become part of the CorBusiness product in
the near future. Some of the new features in the Forecasting module will include:
multi-modeling; algorithms such as exponential smoothing, forms of regression,
weighted averages; a wizard that will aid in historical data query, grouping,
and forecast restriction and much more.
Product Updates
As you are probably aware, the production releases to any of CorVu’s products
are available through the tech support website
(http://support.corvu.com) under the link
“Client Updates” in the left margin after you sign in. Although there have been updated versions to the 4.20 product, none of them have been released as a production version since the CDs were pressed in August, 2002. We are aware there may be some issues, so I have posted the most recent update on the resource
pagefor CorBusiness (version 4.20.198). Your customers may only have this release if you check with CorVu Tech Support and a Beta Agreement is in place. Version 4.20.198 is a fairly stable version, but it is not production quality. A Beta Agreement is not required for CorVu partners with agreements on file.
There is also an update out on this page for the CorStrategy.Scorecard. I recommend those of you with customers running the original RapidScorecard product (RSC 4.20.178 ) use this update. The product has been enhanced so much that the CorStrategy.Scorecard V4.22.195.221 on the Partner site is a completely different product from the original RapidScorecard appearing on the CorVu 4.20 CD. Inside the "doc" folder is a document called "upgrade process.txt". This file will walk you though upgrading from an earlier version. Do not let anyone use this update unless they have made a backup of their original RapidScorecard setup first. The "Using 422 CorStrategy.Scorecard" document on the site is best I can do for documentation at this time. I'm told we will have a production release of this product in March, 2003.
