This certification program begins with the standardized
classroom product training. The next phase teaches support
personnel the intricacies of the product, connectivity, and
provides some guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve
common issues - as well as how to work with the CorVu escalation
process. Successful completion of a certification test is
required at the end of this session. Each partner will be
required to have at least 1-2 certified Technical Support
Representatives on staff.
Phase 1
Standardized Classroom Education > All candidates must
complete the full range of the CorVu public training courses
for CorVu products. These classes are defined on www.corvu.com.
This phase is then followed by at least a two-week period
period where the candidate(s) work with the CorVu product
on their own.
Phase 2
On-site implementation > CorVu will send an experienced
consultant to train your consultants how to implement and
configure the CorVu product. A classroom discussion will be
held for up to 4 people on advanced administration techniques
including CorVu deployment options, connectivity methods and
the basic CorVu Architecture. A CorVu implementation methodology
is recommended and documented. Deliverables include an implementation
manual for your team.
Phase 3
Getting Ready to Go Live - Final Support Team Preparations.
A certification exam will be administered to gauge the instructor's
expertise gained. The technical support personnel will be
required to support all levels of CorVu users.
Phase 4
Includes the two-day training class "More Power Using
CorVu", which is an advanced usage class. The material
covered includes writing your own formulas, setting up specialty
graphing functions, using complex conditions and filters,
using conditional cross tabs and advanced discussions on joined
queries.
This is followed by one day class designed to make the support
team comfortable in how to do support, troubleshooting, how
to work with the CorVu escalation process and when to escalate.
An architectural overview will be provided, as well as CorVu
Support Desk FAQs.
A certification exam will be administered to gauge to support
personnel expertise gained throughout the training program.
Upon satisfactory completion of the exam, the support team
should be comfortable performing the first level support to
all of its customers. The support consultants will be required
to renew certification annually. Refresher courses will be
made available at no additional charge.
