A Value Added Reseller (VAR) incorporates the CorVu products
in their software product offering and resells the product
under the CorVu brand, or perhaps fully integrated with their
own product. Typically, the Reseller provides value by predefining
capability within the CorVu product which is interfaced to
various data sources within the Reseller's own product. An
"OEM" or "ISV" reseller may integrate the CorVu product with
their own product offering under a brand or identity unique
to the partner. The Reseller introduces the CorVu product
to its customers or prospects and may provide the initial
demonstration as well. Depending on the Reseller's capability,
they may also undertake the implementation process through
their professional services area.
VARs will perform demonstrations and other sales activities
independently CorVu sales or professional services personnel
may participate in such activities when circumstances require
our level of expertise to win the business.
CorVu requires VARs to commit to a sales and technical training
program for their consultants and/or technical support personnel.
CorVu offers certification for trainers, consultants, pre-sales
personnel and tech support personnel. CorVu provides direct
support to VARs who, in turn, may provide support to their
customers.
A special "VAR Integration Kit" is available with added security
to those "OEM" or "ISV" type resellers who indicate a desire
to either rebrand the CorVu product or fully integrate the
product into the reseller's software.
